play group

We go to a playgroup on Wed & Thursday and this week she pushed a little boy away because he was trying to get something she wanted and then she cried when another boy had the pull dog that she always likes to hold. Last week a new little boy came and he seemed to be fascinated with her because he kept going up to her face. But she did NOT like that and she was in hysterics because Sang kept being close to her! It was funny. So this week, Muggy came to the group in order to see such, but little Sang didn't come.

inauguration & powder

And one of powder on her bedroom floor with her footprint in it. She had been awfully quiet for a while and I went in to check on her and she had the powder all spilled on the ground with the footprints

clothespins!

Senorita wanted all the clothespins pinned to her pj's. She stayed like that for a while.

She enjoys playing with them and putting them in her mouth.

wheee, up, no; teeth; sleep update

These are the words she's saying. I don't know how she got up because I do not say that in English--arriba en espanol. I do say an "oops" kinda word but she's using "up" in the right way. She says no to many things, even things that really wants to say Yes to. Wheeee is used for fun things, like at the park, seeing Dora swing on a vine in a book. She also says "boo" for Boots, Dora's companion. She doesn't want to give up nursing yet, which poses a problem because I didn't plan to do it for this long. Her teeth are coming in, 4 at top, 4 at bottom and 2 bottom molars are sticking out more than the top molars, but they are also coming down. So at 18 months, she has 8 full teet and 4 more coming, although the 8 are not totally all the way out yet, you can see them very well.

She's still waking at least one time a night for milk and if she wakes a 2nd time, I let her cry it out. Last night she woke at 1:15 am and then at6:08 when I told her it was still sleeping time and she cried a bit but dozed back off for a little bit more.

She still watches the Baby Signing Time dvd's and now I found Diego on MundoNick in Spanish but it's just 2 episodes they have but she watches those 2 and her Plaza Sesamo videos along with Dora. I still don't want her watching too much English TV and I allow the Signing time ones since that's teaching ASL.

she's good with entertaining herself, too. I can get some things done while she plays alone and I just keep peeping at her either in the living room or her room or out on the patio in the sandbox. But she is a monkey, with lots of climbing likes she's doing on me now...

18 months

Within the past 2 days she started saying "B" for something. I'm still trying to figure it out, though, but I think it means someone from Plaza Sesamo. She points to her DVD's while saying "B" and when I ask her where's B? she doesn't point it out so I'm not sure what she means.

I put on a cloth diaper tonight to see what she'd do and since hers was wet and bathtime was quite soon, I didn't want to put another disposible one on for such a short time. She resisted at first but then allowed it and kept it on ok.

We painted today when I did her handprint for her 18 month sign. She had a good time rubbing the blue paint all over her hands like lotion, all over her onesie and all over her Dora & Diego dolls.

She climbed into the dishwasher today also. And last night she put the basket on her head in the bathtub. Tonight she pooed in the tub full of water so that was a mess! No pictures of that! :>

at the zoo

I wanted to post some pictures of our zoo trip back in November (I think, when we went with church) since I finally did my phone pictures to the computer. I wish I could rotate them but don't know how. She loved the monkey statue on the bench.

We went to our Tot group today and then to the park where she hugged the see-saw duck again. I've finally uploaded those phone pictures to the computer so here's T hugging it. These photos are from past months sometime. They were taken at various times.

T kept crying at this. Baba painted a face on his toe and she did NOT like it. It was funny.

pine derby

Saturday was the Pinewood Derby with cubscouts. PawPaw made the car with Bekher and they came in third in the group. The first picture is of the overall winning car, the one on the bottom (red & black). B's car is just above with the flame on it.

activity of the day

Today she played in the sandbox twice which warranted 2 trips to the bathtub afterward. Here is a photo of the second episode in the tub, fully clothed. This is after she played in the sink with the toothbrushes while Baba bathed and then when he finished she got in the tub like this.

Well, the 2nd Christmas of T's has come & gone. She didn't care much for opening gifts this year either and brother B and cousin A had to do it all (which they totally didn't mind at all). She didn't like the cabbage patch doll that Muggy gave her. She shook her head and pushed it away. She began doing that on the 13th; I noticed it at a Christmas party we attended. I tried to get a good photo her T and B together but that never happened so we took one of the family that I mailed out to a few people. Her gift items included Dora shoes, backpack & dolls--all of which she loved; Signing time videos; various other dolls & clothes. Brother B got some bakugan items and Club Penguin things which were his favorites.

New years eve she stayed with the grandparents while we ran around town and it was quite cold where B didn't want to get out of the car! Whereas on Christmas day it was hot and I was wearing shorts for a time.

On January 2 we all went down to the French Quarter for the Sugar Bowl pre game fan stuff (twice in a week because we'd gone down on 12-28 with my sister, cousin, parents & our family) and B played the fan games they had with kicking field goals and running obstacle courses.
