She's gotten up to about 10 "words" for this month:
buh buh for bubbles/burbuja
baaaa for ball/pelota
Booney for Barney
shoooo for shoes
wah wah for agua/water
apple
book
bobo
coooo for cool for sunglasses
ocho 8; and H in Spanish plus a few more letters and numbers, most prominent is OCHO!
Now she's been saying most of these in ENGLISH and I can't believe it. I try to just speak in Spanish to her and she mostly watches Plaza Sesamo, Spanish Dora and KaiLan and now Spanish Barney thanks to my friend Fabiana from Venezuela. The English video she watches is the Baby Signing time videos and that is how she learned BALL, BOOK, SHOE because they SING those words while SIGNing them. So the only definite word in Spanish is alla' but I"m telling myself that the buhbuh is for burbuja and wahwah for agua. She says coooo for sunglasses because I always say "wow, cool" when she puts them on. She knows ocho mostly and M, H, N in Spanish as well. Since she hit 21 months her words have increased greatly.

new "words" & tantrums
At the beach last week she begain saying "buhbuh" for burbujas. and today she said "wha wa" for agua.
Yesterday and the previous day we went to the grocery. Wednesday she had a tantrum over wantinga few grapes, which I couldn't give her because they needing washing. So all we bought was produce and had to leave. Thursday we tried again to get the rest of the stuff we needed but this time she was ok until I picked up the chocolate ice cream and she had a tantrum again, with snot coming down her nose and all. Soul! Luckily we were heading to check out anyway.

moving the animals
I watched her today move her animals from outside the playpen (where I'd thrown them to her as she signed each animal) to the rug in the living room, a few steps away. Then later on, before her nap, she brought each animal--generally one by one--to the playpen and dropped them in. She sat in her crib as she awoke from her nap and wanted her animals thrown in with her. Then she put the over the railing onto the rocking chair next to the bed and then tried to grab some through the slots of the crib. This type of activity entertained her for quite a while. I pictured it on a previous post by the futon.

mango; alla'; yellow belt
Here's a picture of the mango seed being eaten by Senorita. And B got his yellow belt in taekwondo this week.
This week she began saying alla' which is spanish for there. I usually say alli' and wondered where she got alla' from but I noticed that she got it from watching Spanish Dora from Telemundo. We ordered some Arabic Dora episodes from ebay and hopefully she'll learn from that too.
adonde vamos? a la playa
We went to the beach today. She enjoyed playing with a stick, throwing the sand into the water, and watching a spider. B and N enjoyed playing in the water. Senorita stood at the edge of the water and threw in the sand and had that big stick and threw a smaller stick and leaf into the edge and watched it come back. The leaf floated away and she fretted over that and I had to point out another one for her to pick up.
