So T is almost 8 months old now--in 4 days. She's begun to scoot around like a soldier on the ground, kind of crawling but kind of on her tummy still. She can get around!! And the other day I went into her room when I heard her awake from her nap and she was sitting up--all by herself! She likes to stand up and tries on her own but cannot do that yet.
Today at church we were singing with the cars (a car goes driving to the mission land....) and little CJ took the car out of her hand and she went after him with a crying face, determined to get the car back! Feisty!
She usually likes to eat anything I give her. Fruits, vegetables, oatmeal, rice cereal. Tonight we went to eat Thai food and I got the mango/coconut rice dessert and gave her some of the rice; she took a bit of it but wasn't really hungry because she even turned down the mango I squished up for her. And she LOVES mango!!
Big brother has lost both of his two front teeth this week. The new ones are poking out though, so the space will be filled soon.
And the big news is that I finally gave my resignation notice at work and I will be home with T beginning March 29.

6-7 months
So right after the last post I took her for her 6 month checkup at the doctor. She weighs 19# 14oz and that makes her in the 95th percentile of children for weight, off the chart. She still has the rolls of fat on her back, tummy, and legs. It's so cute.
Now she's almost 7 months old. Within this past month she's begun to get on her knees & rock, in an attempt to start crawling. Also, the doctor said that I must stop feeding her twice a night and let her cry it out during the night. So the first night after that visit, she slept until 3am, instead of waking at midnight and at 3. It was a few nights later that we did the crying it out. The crying spell lasted about a half hour for 2 nights in a row and some other nights it's been a 10 minute deal but otherwise, she's done ok, like sleeping from 8pm until 4am or last night, 9pm until 5am and then back to sleep until 7am. I'm finally getting a bit more sleep these days. And within the next month I intend to stop working and finally be home with her full time!! yay :>
She's doing more babbling sounds and I'm trying to just speak in Spanish to her. Oh to live in Spain! How can that be done!!

sleep

It's funny that when she wants to sleep she puts her head to the side. Sometimes it looks as though she wants to turn her head completly around. When I put her in her bed or playpen and she's ready for a nap/nighttime sleep, she puts her head generally to the left side and wants her chupete. And at 6 months old she is still waking up at least twice a night for milk. This morning at 5am she appeared ready to play. She loves her jumpy thing. Tonight she was dancing a lot in it and laughing at brother throwing the football down on the floor.
Our nighttime routine is a bath at 8:00ish, dressing, and then milk. She goes in her crib around 8:30ish. By 11 or 12 she's ready for more milk and then again at 3am. Many times she up between those times crying for her chupete. I get very little sleep on many nights!

6 months
My baby is 6 months old now. She can sit up pretty good, sometimes tipping over, though. She doesn't put herself up but if she's put sitting she can stay for a few minutes. She pulls herself up with the bar on her vibrating seat. She eats carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, pears, and bananas along with oatmeal and pear juice. She still does not do too well with a bottle and won't drink juice or water from one. I have to put a straw into the drink and suction it up to her mouth w/my finger. She is saying ga-da-da and making some other sounds, still sounding like a kitten sometimes. She has rolls of fat on her tummy and legs/diaper area. Creases! :> Her hair is getting longer but I noticed quite a bit of it in her crib today, like she's losing a good amount. She notices when you call her name and she turns her head towards sound. She looks for her toys that she drops so she's getting her object permanance. Her smile is fantastic!
